tiny Parallax Manager for Gamemaker

Import this single object without unleashing a mess of resources into your project. No modifications should be needed in your existing code and you can delete that mess of BG layers in all of your GM Rooms because you won't need them anymore.

  • Drop the object onto your back-most layer.
  • Assign a sprite to the object, where each frame of that sprite is a BG layer.
  • That's it.

Have as many/little frames as you like, and the object will balance them accordingly.

hi, can I ask how to make one or few certain frames to static instead of moving all frames together?

You can stick an "if" statement inside the for-loop code in Step. Make it only update the layer position when i != x (x being the static layer id you are describing). Feel free to msg me on Discord if you get stuck: nickmuse#4362
